Student initiative
Gatorloop is here to change how we think about our daily commutes, trade, & long-distance travel.
We are the University of Florida's entry into the Hyperloop Competition and have mainly showcased our prototype at European Hyperloop Week as well as the Canadian Hyperloop Conference. Our team consists of design-oriented engineering, STEM, and business students working together to create functional, fast, and safe Hyperloop Pod systems right here in our home state of Florida.
OUR MISSION statement
Gatorloop is committed to fostering the growth of our engineering students so that we may continue to produce the most advanced hyperloop systems and accelerate the advent of a new mode of transportation.
zero-emissions high-speed travel
Hyperloop is a disruptive and revolutionary high-speed transportation system proposed by SpaceX and founder Elon Musk. The concept consists of a train-like pod traveling in a low-pressure vacuum tube. This technology is designed to be incredibly fast — up to 750 mph, turning a 6-hour commute into a 30-minute ride. Powered by renewable energy, Hyperloop is both fast and eco-friendly.
